When you feel like turning back the hands of time

time

At some point in life, you must have felt like turning back the hands of time to correct the mistakes, right the wrongs and make better choices. But unfortunately time cannot be stopped or manipulated to serve our whims and caprices. There are things that have happened in your past that you probably wished never occurred at all. Yes! You now know that unpleasant incident shouldn’t have happened if you had taken the right step or followed the advice given to you then. So, you wish you have another opportunity to do things right.

Regret is a terrible emotion. This is why we have to be very careful with the choices we make every day. Almost everybody has some kind of regret. But you should not allow yourself sink in the quagmire of regret; forgive yourself and make the most of the future ahead of you. Regret will drain your energies and keep you down in a valley. Whenever such thoughts come to mind, waive them. What has happened has happened; the past is passed. The consequences of these past actions may be real and painful, but you can manage the situation with a positive mindset. You can forgive yourself, allow yourself to heal and determine to learn wisdom from what happened. You can even develop your story into a ministry to help others not to make the mistake you made.

Have you lost grounds because of the choices you’ve made in the past? Don’t give up; pace up. Pace up in personal growth and positive actions. Everything will turn out well in the end if you don’t wallow in regret. Don’t allow self-destructive feelings. Tell yourself that all is not over yet. Tell yourself you can recover and make significant progress. You may not be able to turn back the hands of time, but you can maximize the opportunities of your present and future. You can take on a new speed in the right direction. I like the way Les Brown puts it; it is not over until you win!

Most success stories are littered with failures. You have failed to act right in the past but you can create new outcomes. You are going to have a success story. Your success story will be written and published for the next generation to read and be inspired. Stop wishing you could turn back the hands of time, rather start turning in positive directions that birth you an enviable future.

Cheers!
