Apply for the Third Round of the Humanitarian Grand Challenge (Funding between $250k & $3m)

Do you have any solution that can enhance humanitarian assistance and help conflict-affected regions? If yes, then apply for the third round of the Humanitarian grand challenge

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Grand Challenges Canada have launched Creating Hope in Conflict: A Humanitarian Grand Challenge. This challenge seeks to fund and accelerate solutions that enable life-saving or life improving assistance to reach the most vulnerable and hardest-to-reach people in conflict generated humanitarian crises.

The Grand Challenge is designed to help “identify and support ground-breaking solutions that engage the private sector and draw from the experiences of affected communities in order to significantly improve – and in many cases, save – the lives of vulnerable people affected by conflict.” The overall goal is to identify viable community solutions towards a better life.

The third call for proposals for the Grand Challenge is officially open. The Grand Challenge “seeks to fund and accelerate solutions that enable life-saving or life-improving assistance to reach the most vulnerable and hardest-to-reach people in conflict-generated humanitarian crises.”

The third call for proposals is officially open, closes 16th of November 2020  and is funding of up to $250,000 for new ideas, and up to $3,000,000 for proven solutions. They are looking for bold ideas to change the #humanitarian system and to promote local #entrepreneurship in Africa.

The organising team seeks solutions that can create broader, transformative changes within the humanitarian sector, ranging from safe water and sanitation solutions to energy solutions; life-saving information solutions; and health supplies and services designed to help conflict-affected people. Whether your solution is focused on: energy, health, life-saving-info, or water and sanitation, they want to hear from you!

The request for proposals for round 3 of Creating Hope in Conflict: A Humanitarian Grand Challenge closes on Monday, November 16th at 11am E.T (15:00 GMT). The winners will be chosen in March 2021.
