‘War Room’ Is Not About Domestic Violence

Review - 'War Room' Is Beyond Domestic Violence

So I saw ‘WAR ROOM‘ last weekend… Finally!! and I totally enjoyed watching it.

Dear Nigerians, I have news for you – ‘War Room’ Is Not About Domestic Violence.

I am not the movie movie person, I watch movies but I am not so crazy about it all. Though I have actors I love and admire, I watch movies, I learn from movies and move on. Hence, I do not do much of the review thingy but for this one, I have to. Simply because, I was driven to watch this movie due to the way Nigerians on Facebook typed ‘Go watch War Room’ when a domestic violence case pops up.

‘War Room’ is deep. So many people will watch war room and still not understand the connection it has with being spiritual.

Its about walking a path with JesusIts about understanding that the peace and love you have from within which can only come from knowing Jesus, is all you need.Its about forgiveness.Its about re tracing your stepsIts about peace of conscience.Its about praying and listening. Prayer is communication and the last time I checked, communication is still a two way matter.Its about carrying God along.Its about trusting him to do the best for you always.Its about looking back to the previous miracle in your life and trusting more.Its about holding on to grace.Its about the sanctity of marriage

The man in War Room was not a bad man from the beginning, he did not always see himself as a superior type of human.

He strayed at some point, he was engulfed in his riches and position, money was driving him, he became proud, selfish, ego rising, he lost his path, he lost the true meaning of his existence, he forgot that he is a product of Grace, he started feeling he got to where he got to by his own power and might…

In life, you just need to know when to let go and let God.

Did you notice how Elizabeth found happiness from within immediately she started talking to God? Her joy was overwhelming, even her husband was stunned.

He thought she was going to poison him…because she was too calm.

Even after getting to know her husband was having dinner with a babe, she was calm…..cos her peace was no longer determined by her husband’s actions, she had happiness from within, peace of conscience.

Like I said, I totally enjoyed watching this movie, its a wake up call, its beautiful, its soul lifting, its refreshing, its love deeper than what you feel for your spouse.

However, do not pick up a messed up man from scratch and think you can startwarrooming upandan, I’m just sorry for you.

Find a good man, and warroom for him, for you and for your family.

and I need to say this;

TELLING PEOPLE WHO ARE FACING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, PEOPLE WHO ARE BEING BEATEN UP DAILY BY A MAN WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE THEIR HUSBAND TO WATCH ‘WAR ROOM’ IS TOTAL DISRESPECT TO ‘WAR ROOM’

It simply shows how empty you are; within and without.
