The Permanent Solution

When I say “The permanent solution”, I mean the lasting solution. The permanent solution gives healing, deliverance, blessing, prosperity, redemption, joy, peace and comfort forever. This is the relationship forever.

In Romans 5:12, the Bible says that since the days of disobedience of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, man has lost this kind of relationship with God through sin. Who can take away this sin? John 1:29, John the Baptist said and I quote, “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the whole world” – His name is Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the son of the living God. He is the Lord, our righteousness! Jesus Christ came because the relationship was broken. His mission and vision was to restore the relationship and fellowship between God and man. He could not have accomplished this task which was given to Him by His heavenly father without love, grace, mercy favor and forgiveness. And that was why in Luke 23:34 He said, “Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing”.  This includes you and I.

People of God, we must come to the confrontation of sin with an attitude of forgiveness, having a sharp awareness that we have been forgiven by our Heavenly father for far more serious consequential sins. It is this remembrance that creates in us a merciful and compassionate heart towards others. Where there is forgiveness, there is solution. The reason is because forgiveness of sin deals with the cause of the problem.

In Mark 2:3-5, our Lord Jesus Christ chose to deal with sin the cause of the problem of the paralytic so that the paralytic could have the permanent solution. Imagine what could have happened to the paralytic had his sins, which were many, not been forgiven by our Lord Jesus Christ? He could have had a solution but the permanent one, thereby shifting his final freedom to a further date.

When we sin we belong to the kingdom of darkness. Those who are sitting in darkness, there is hope for you – Jesus Christ is the hope. In Ephesians 5:8, see how strange yet wholly true, those who by sin were darkness, by the grace of God became light in the Lord. It is written in Matthew 4:16 that the people living in darkness have seen a great light; those living in the shadow of death, a light has dawned. Jesus Christ – the glorious Light, has come into the world to dispel all shades of darkness. As Christians, we are not to get used to the dark but shine forth as children of Light. This is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes.

Jesus Christ delivers man spiritually from the hand of his enemy. I mean that Jesus Christ sets man free from sin – a spiritual thing against which man has no power or self-will to fight. Jesus Christ delivers man from the hand of sin or satan by a spiritual miracle and today, many are born again through Him. When you are born again, you are taken out of the satanic kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of our Lord, Jesus Christ – the kingdom of light. It is not something you hope or wish for – it’s a fact. It is reality, it is not idle imagination, it is concrete and factual, and it is a truism. We cannot receive this by merit but by the grace, mercy and favor of God. For no matter how we condition ourselves from childhood, we still need to be born again. No matter how many good works we do, no matter how fine an attitude we have, we cannot do enough to earn God’s forgiveness of our sin nature. For it is only by God’s grace and favor we are forgiven and released from our sins.

God never refuses mercy but many forsake. As children of God, we ought to know that in mercy we are called to be forgiven, healed, delivered, blessed, saved and given permanent solution.

King David knew this and that was why he pleaded for God’s mercy in Psalm 51. David was confessing and asking for forgiveness of his sins for the salvation of his soul and God’s mercy spoke for him. Never doubt God’s desire and ability to help you for He will forgive us of anything and will help us get back on our feet and help us not to make that mistake again.

Therefore, we must not allow any sin in our heart that is yet to be confessed. In Psalm 66:18, we are though that sin regarded in our heart spoils the comfort of God’s grace and ruins the success of our prayers. We cannot share in the spiritual privilege of God’s grace if we regard sin in our heart. So, let us admit that we are guilty, acknowledge our sins and trust in Christ’s sacrifice to make us clean and whole within. This is what salvation is all about – to be set free from sin and its penalties.

What is the danger in everything your heart desires without salvation? It is written in Romans 6:1-2, “Shall we continue in sin and expect the grace to abound?” definitely no. therefore, if you have everything your heart desires while yet in sin, whatever you have will face greater challenges that your wealth, position, fame or popularity cannot stand. This is not what Christianity is all about. Christianity is all about a relationship with Jesus – a relationship forever.

If you want to enjoy a relationship forever, you must remain cleansed. Unless you are cleansed from sin, whatever comfort you receive will leave you worse off than you were before the comfort.

Many who in spite of the millions in their bank account, their estates, position and power are the on the sickbed praying to God that their money, position and wealth should go so that they could regain their good health. Here you are laughing, talking, looking and walking freely. Can the millions in your bank account, estates and position earn you good health, peace, joy, salvation and eternal life? No! But Jesus Christ can.

Therefore, Jesus Christ is the permanent solution. When Jesus Christ heals you, He heals you effectually; He delivers you completely; He blesses you effectually. By His statement in John 19:30 “it is finished”, Jesus Christ has given a permanent blow to our problems. Never a problem He cannot solve. Never an unpleasant situation He cannot subdue. Never a burden He cannot bear. Never a sickness he cannot cure. Never a Healer like Jesus Christ. By His stripes we are forgiven, healed, blessed, saved and given the permanent solution. Never a friend like Jesus Christ. Are you lost? Follow Jesus Christ for He is the road map to the lost. Are you hungry? Follow Jesus Christ for He is Bread of the hungry. Are you thirsty? Follow Jesus Christ for He is the Water to the thirsty. He is the permanent solution who is able to write your name in the Book of life…TBJ, SCOAN
