A NEW DAY

In the windows of my eyes; Fingers of purplish red streaked the sky Gradually fading into a deep gold. The sun made its slow climb. Its light streaming into a faceless face, Touching those tears from my eyes. As the sun extinguished the past, My soul drank of a new wine That commune of a pristine birth. The golden sheath seem so radiant Beneath those lines of marching clouds. The early birds rode on new clouds Singing along pure symphony of winds. Down below, the morning roses flare Their flowers to anxious rippled buzzing; Breezing the scenery with its fresh breath. Then My Soul knew from its calmness That a new day has dawned! Written by Kwadwo Mensah Aggor
