If everyone were a nurse

there would be no grume.

When you love excessively,

you imagine everyone

is in love with them.

Like an apothecary inquiring:

How are you?

Lashings of asperity

prod to religiosity:

negotiate future lives.

(5)

 

To question nurturers

is to announce arrival.

(6)

 

Jet black hair at eighty:

vulgar display of vanity

even for an actor.

(7)

Chancing upon you was pleasant

like finding an old photograph.

 

(8)

I thought I saw you, turned my face.

Mind, a malingerer.

It wasn’t even a doppelganger.

(9)

 

To break wind in company:

familiarity or faulty tenue?
