Easter Lessons – Your Perception Makes All The Difference

Easter - elsieisy blog

Easter, also called Pascha or Resurrection Sunday, is a festival and holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day after his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD.

I think each time I read about the crucifixion of Jesus, I’m inspired in a different type of way. This time around, I’m reminded of the power of prophecy and how we all are tools in the hands of the creator.

I think one of the most important prayers has to be about our destiny. Case in point – Judas & Pilate. It’s easy for us to sit back and call Judas the betrayer. In fact, Christians will not comfortably name their child Judas because of the life of Judas Iscariot.

However, one thing is clear, whether this betrayal was carried out by Judas or not, someone will have to be instrumental to the cross. There was a prophecy and it had it come to pass.

Also, Pilate was a good man, we could say he was Holy Spirit filled (Bible Scholars can correct me if I’m wrong), he wasn’t in support of crucifying an innocent man or a man whom he believed to be d son of God but his hands were tied and he could do almost nothing

The only change he could make was writing the inscription we say till today – “JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS”. The chief priests also tried to protest this inscription.

All these got me thinking & it just goes a long way to prove that what will be will be.

However, we have d power to change some events by the choices we make. But if your action is instrumental to the will of God for a greater good, u probably won’t have the will power to take an otherwise decision, whether for good or bad.

I think coming to this understanding and if you believe there is a plan for your life – events that would keep occurring till you reach your full potential, then you probably won’t hold a grudge against anyone or hold on to your seeming mistakes

Rather you learn from them and try to seek God’s will in whatever stumbling block you face. Just ask yourself what God says about the situation. Most people needed to be sacked from their work place to start the booming business they have today. And this sack wasn’t because they did something wrong, but someone was used as an instrument to make it happen.

Let go of that pain & hold on to d the joy and peace from within. Life can be tough but your perception makes all the difference.
