Yesterday, on a post where I talked about 4 reasons why giving up should never be your first resort, I mentioned ‘within battles’ which are basically our inner battles.

Overcoming our inner battles have gotten a little more difficult because – economical fear. The outside battles now have great influence on the level of our inner battle since nothing seems to be working in this economy of ours. But what do we do? Give up already? I think not.

So how can we defeat the inner battle amidst the state of the economy and come out stronger?

1.   Acknowledge and identify your fears and worries

I believe that acknowledging and identifying your fears and worries, is the first vital step to overcoming them. You have to agree that you have fears and worries, if you don’t, then why are you even reading this post? Why do I bother? It shouldn’t be difficult for you to carry out those awesome ideas you have locked up in your mind out of fear of failure. Write down your fears and worries, think of the worst that can happen as a result of these fears and worries and what you will do. By doing this, you will realise they are not even as big as you think they are.

  1. Panic less about the future

We are all scared of what the future holds. We look at the future like some place we never know when we will get there or how we will. We think and bother too much about the future that we live through the future without even realizing it. How old are you now? Right now is the future you thought about 5 years ago. Today is the future you thought about yesterday. We daily live this future we worry about. Why not enjoy now, take it all one step at a time and see how it all works out?

  1. Stay positive and optimistic

Focus on the positives while learning from the negatives when they happen. Expect the best in life but put less faith in humans. Make plans and be ready for what ifs. These inner battles feed on your fear and the negatives you focus on, so the more you show how strong you are, the more you overcome these inner battles.

  1. Remember past victory

Obstacles will come each step of the way but remembering the mile stones you have reach and crossed in the past will help you forge ahead. You most times realise that your past victories are more than the present.

  1. You have a destiny to pursue

You are you and your destiny is unique and peculiar to you. There are even people whose destinies are attached to yours and you failing will mean failing those people. Think of yourself as a well that cannot afford to dry up because people need to drink. See yourself as a solution, not a need. Face your weakness and insecurities with boldness, then you will realise they never really existed.

  1. You are the best version of you

Whatever idea that has come to you to execute, it came because you are the best person to execute that idea. Do not look down on yourself. You are smart, intelligent and wise enough to generate an idea, what makes you think you cannot be successful carrying it out. You are the best and must keep striving to remain the best of you.

  1. If the battle of the mind can be won, then the motivation to win external battles is in abundance……… Our mind tend to limit us but we must think as though there is no boundary to what we can conjure in our mind

  2. These are very inspiring but it’s not very easy to practise all of these. Sometimes we try but just one failure, the worring and insecurities and fears creep back in. I am the best version of me…I believe
