#BBNAIJA Nina Had No Idea What The Greek Alphabet Is, But Do You?

When Big Brother asked the House Mates, yesterday, to name their groups after the Greek Alphabet, I was legit lost. You know I don’t know how to lie or form what I am not. The difference between the 2018 Big Brother Naija House mates and I, was the singular fact that I had access to an internet enabled phone, so I could google it. But guess what? My internet did not let me shine – thanks to Spectranet. Nothing was opening on my phone at the times except Whatsapp and Twitter. So I thought and told myself it has to be Alpha and Omega. It however felt good to know my thought was not totally wrong when spectranet came back to ‘Semi-life’. At least I was better than Nina who said the Greek Alphabet are the English Alphabet vowels. LOL

I know most people had no idea yesterday. If they did, that would have been the second most discussed issue from the big brother house just after the CeeC saga. I also do not blame anybody, because we do not count our money in Greek Alphabet neither do we generally need the Greek alphabet in our day to day activities in this part of the world. There are definitely so many things we cannot recollect which we were taught in school. I also do know that knowledge is power and information is liberating. Here is all we need to know about Greek Alphabets according to google and Wiki.

Greek Alphabets was derived from the earlier Phoenician alphabet, and was the first alphabetic script to have distinct letters for vowels as well as consonants. It is the ancestor of the Latin and Cyrillic scripts. Apart from its use in writing the Greek language, in both its ancient and its modern forms, the Greek alphabet today also serves as a source of technical symbols and labels in many domains of mathematics, science and other fields. It has been used to write the Greek language since the late 9th century BC or early 8th century BC. The Alphabet has 24 letters unlike the English Alphabet with 26 letters, ordered from Alpha to Omega.

The word ‘alphabet’ derives from the first two letters, alpha and beta
